SYSTEM

Summary – A system that allows you to use a full flush toilet.
They treat all household toilet effluent and household greywater as well as organic wastes and even some garden clippings.
While not a waterless system, it composts all outputs from the house and utilises the treated liquid end product to irrigate and fertilise vegetated areas so saving water on garden use. Its simplicity of design allows it to be used for various usage requirements and locations.
A good system if you want the benefits of a composting toilet system with a full flush pedestal.

System Type – Full Flush – Tank

Liquids mode – Non-urine separation

Situation – The system can be used in domestic, public and commercial applications as it attaches to a full flush plumbing set up for a conventional septic tank.
The systems suits ground situations where a leach field will disperse the liquid worm castings filled end product.

Operation – The system uses a conventional full flush toilet system that drains into a large tank situation outside below the toilet standing on the ground or buried in the ground.
Domestic blackwater and greywater is emptied into the tank and organic matter can be put into the top of the system though a above ground opening. The system is aerated with an air vent using a wind operated extraction system. This aerates the waste pile giving good conditions for composting worm activity.
The worms degrade the material 20 times faster than septic systems and the liquid runoff is pumped into an underground effluent distribution system. The effluent is treated and contains earthworm castings and helps improve the soil nutrition and condition. No solid material is needed to be extracted from the tank

Capacity – The system has a range of tank sizes that can accommodate from a single pedestal in a cabin though to multiple uses in commercial and public amenities situations. Customised units are available for various use rates.

Design – A simple tank system that is installed in a typical septic tank location and the toilet liked to if for gravity flushing. The internal design is simple with the vermicomposting pile above a screen through which the liquid end product flows and is then pumped or gravity fed out to a lawn or garden bed subsoil irrigation system.

Construction – Polyethylene and concrete tanks. Larger commercial systems are made with reinforcing steel and concrete and formed on site.

Certifications – Approved for use in the states of Australia – Victoria, NSW, SA, QLD & NT

Energy Use – Not if using gravity feed to your landscape irrigation area. If needed, then a pump will run occasionally to pump liquid up to a raised irrigation area.

System Includes – Site specific and installed and commissioned by A&A Worm Farm Waste Systems.

Options Available – Site specific systems for domestic, commercial and rural locations.

Greywater Solution – None is needed as all grey water runs through the system.

Installations – Over a thousand installations since starting in 1996.
