Situation – The Ecodomeo is suitable for medium to large usage public and domestic situations as long as there is a suitable space adjacent to the toilet area for the composting wastes to be collected for composting.
Operation – The system is a urine diverting composting toilet with a lever manually operated conveyor belt that transports the wastes to a composting chamber adjacent or below the unit.
The composting solids are raked back periodically to be composted.as new solids are deposited.
The composting solids need disposal every 3 – 10 years.
Capacity – The capacity of the system is limited only by the room that holds the containers that you use for the composting deposits.
Design –
The design is innovative because it is the only batch system that transfers the deposits horizontally to the composting area, thus eliminating the need for a chamber below the toilet.
The short conveyor belt that transports solids transfers them to a composting room or area adjacent to the toilet area. It can be a complete room, or simply a half height storage area that can be accessed via a lid from outside.
This storage area is to be 3m2 of floor area available and this must be airtight to aid the ventilation system which is a vent pipe to the outside with a low voltage fan.
The venting system draws air through the toilet and conveyor system aiding in removing odours.
The urine is collected separately via a gravity system to a tank or piped into the local waste water system.
Construction – The build of the toilet commode and transport system is hard plastic and stainless steel. One of the toilet designs has wood included for good aesthetics.
Dimensions – The toilet seat requires the same area as a conventional water based system, but the composting room adjacent requires 3m2 of floor area.
Energy Use – The fan for venting the system will require a small amount of energy.

Summary – The ecodomea is a urine diverting toilet system that has a conveyor belt to transport the solid waste to an adjacent composting chamber.
It does have more mechanical operation than most composting units, but this allows it the extra flexibility of moving wastes to an adjacent composting chamber, so allowing the system to be installed on the one level without need for a composting chamber area under the floor.
This allows for custom construction of composting chambers.
The system is primarily used in public amenities and private residences, where its capacity is only limited by the size of the adjacent composting area.
It does have high use ability, although there is some moving of wastes within the chamber using a rake to move the pile along as it composts.
They have a range of attractive toilet pedestals for different situations.
