System Type – Dry – Compact – Remote Composting

Liquids mode – Liquids in with solids

Situation – Domestic or cabin situation with low to medium use.

Operation – The Bambooloo is a bamboo made pedestal with a receptacle placed underneath and compostable bags are placed in the bucket and 5 cm of carbon material such as sawdust or coco-peat placed in the bag. The cover material is placed in the bag every time it is used. Once full, the bucket is taken out to a secondary computing area for composting for up to 24 months.

Capacity – The system is a bucket with outside computing, so the capacity is only limited by the number of bucket changes you would like to do. Generally up to a family capacity would be suitable.

Design – The design is a standard bucket to outside composting area. 

Construction – The Bambooloo has a unique construction using bamboo in a marine style construction for strength, longevity and water resistance.  It also looks pretty good!

Energy Use – No energy is needed for the system

Options Available – There are a number of options with the construction and appearance of the commode.

Greywater Solution – A separate greywater system would be needed in conjunction with the Bambooloo.
